KidsActs!

On Sunday mornings, during the Sunday School hour from 9:30am to 10:45am, children ages kindergarten through 5th graders participate in our Kids' Acts program! We call our program "Kid's Acts" because we are seeking to act out our learning from God's Word in ways that show we know, love, and obey Jesus.

Although the regular program begins at 9:45am, we do start with a pre-session time at 9:30am. This is usually a group activity that relates to the Biblical theme we are studying during the large group sessions. The pre-session not only gives our kids a good introduction to the lesson of the week, but also allows our parents to come early to enjoy a cup of coffee and a time of fellowship with other adults before their regular class begins. During the large group session the children enjoy music and an exciting, live Bible story as a group... then move into small group interaction with children their own age for a review of the lesson and Bible memory work which has been taught.  One of our goals for Kids Acts is to see our Shepherds leading our children closer to Jesus through the small group prayer time...having the children know each other well enough to be able to pray for each other's needs.

There are many opportunities for teens and adults to begin serving in the Kids Acts ministry: being a Kid greeter,  serving as an undershepherd for a small group, giving technical or design assistance, preparing props, or  participating with small parts in the large group time. To explore these opportunities, contact Fred Glaeser.

These are the core values that guide our Sunday morning Children and Youth Ministry.

1. God-centered: God must be the center of all that we do on Sunday morning.

2. Kid-focused: it's for kids!

3. Relevant and engaging: for a kid's world.

4. Intentional shepherding: a caring adult developing healthy relationships with children and helping them have personal application in their lives.

5. Fun: "the absence of fun means the absence of kids".

6. Safe environment: Kids feel safe - physically, emotionally and spiritually.
